List for Art: 315/415 Photography
Art Department, Goshen College
This assignment uses photography to document evidence of people. This is a starting place in an attempt to change our habits of seeing.
Out of Context
This assignment grows out of ideas about creativity and art. It asks you to include things that would traditionally not belong in the photograph. It forces juxtapositioning of the unexpected. For many, this can also be a challenge to our typical expectations for a photograph and our habits of seeing.
This assignment is photographed at night with available light and longer exposures.
The Zone System Again
It is a way to maximize the contrast range of the negative even if the scene has too little or too much contrast.
Theater or other Performance Event
