In the summer of 2009, I traveled to Peru with a group of about 20 Goshen College students. Here is a brief overview of that three-month trip along with a few of the pictures I took along the way.
Study in Lima
For the first six weeks in Peru, we lived in the capital city of Lima. We took language, culture and history classes.
Trip to Cusco
After our time in Lima, we spent a week traveling through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, finishing with a day at Machu Picchu.
Service
For the final six weeks of our stay, our group split up and moved to new homes around the country to do voluntary service.
